Philosophy

As architects we are passionate about beautiful contemporary design. We love designing spaces which are well considered and a pleasure to live and work in.

Overtime, we have become deeply convinced that the passive house approach to building is the right one for the 21st century.

We are not alone in this conviction with many developed countries around the world moving towards this construction standard. Here in Aotearoa New Zealand the plan is to gradually improve the building code until we are at passive house level by the year 2030.

This means that we create building envelops which, by their very nature, protect occupants from heat, cold, humidity and drastically reduces their exposure to increasing energy prices for the life of the building.
